Laurie, a UCLA certified mindfulness facilitator, is director of Unplug Kids. She teaches children from age 6-16 the skills they need to live a happier, healthier lifestyle and helps them focus and regulate their emotions. She also teaches adults great mindfulness tips and tricks to help with parenting.

Why I practice meditation:
Meditation has given me the ability to push the pause button in most situations that used to set me off and stress me out. Instead of impulsively reacting, I can now breathe, ground myself, and respond with more clarity and wisdom. I am still a human being but now I am more peaceful, joyful, and resilient. Plus, I smile and laugh a lot more!
Why I teach meditation:
Nothing inspires me more than seeing kids, adults, and families transform their lives through the unconditional wisdom of mindfulness and meditation. It is a deep passion and honor for me to help people find their path to freedom, authenticity, and joy.
